The President, who sympathized with the British Prime Minister, Theresa May, assured her that the government and people of Nigeria “stand with Britons at this sad and trying moment in their country.”

According to President Buhari, “terror attack anywhere in the world is condemnable,” adding that the whole world must join hands to defeat the perpetrators of terrorism.

He prayed that God Almighty will comfort the grieving families and heal the injured.

Meanwhile, death toll in the attack has risen to four, including a police officer.

UK security agencies have been placed on high alert, while its buildings and missions abroad have been asked to increase protection.

TheNewsGuru.com reports that London’s Metropolitan Police said on Twitter that they were called at approximately 2:40 pm to reports of a firearms incident near Westminster Bridge, near the main parliament building.
The incident occurred as parliament was in session, and proceedings in the House of Commons were suspended with dozens of MPs locked inside.
