Carlos Alberto Tévez has officially joined Shanghai ShenhuaGreenland Shenhua FC reached a transfer agreement with Argentina Club Atlético Boca Juniors.
The Chinese club announced the signing of Tevez from Argentinian side Boca Juniors on Thursday in a statement on their official website.
Shanghai are reported to have agreed on a deal worth £70million for the forward, including a salary of more than £500,000-a-week.
The Former Manchester United Midfielder, who also played for Corinthians and Juventus, scored 25 goals in 56 matches for Boca Juniors.
Shanghai finished fourth in last year’s Chinese Super League standings and are managed by former Brighton and Sunderland boss Gus Poyet.
Boca Juniors said: “Good luck Carlitos. You will always be in our hearts.”
Tevez played for seven years in the Premier League and won the title with both Manchester clubs.
He also lifted the Champions League trophy with United in 2008 before joining Juventus in 2013, where he won two Italian championships
