There should be no doubt anymore about a particular “Power” which has seized “authority of functionality” from Muhammadu Buhari as Nigeria president.
It is no more speculation that the man Nigerians elected as their president in 2015 is no more in control of the government he is “supposed” to be heading. He has been effectively and successfully castrated “by a particular POWER” that is greater than what Nigerians ever imagined. Thanks to the wife, the beautiful Aisha Buhari, for revealing this on Monday December 3, 2018.
The News Guru [TNG] reported the event and the woman’s lamentation about how her husband had been boxed into a very tight corner, totally deflated and helpless, by a Mafiaso made up of only two men. Permit me to present the events as reported by thenewsguru.com below before coming to analyse the implication of this disaster to Nigeria in particular and the world at large.
Abuja — Wife of the President, Dr. Aisha Buhari Monday lamented that two powerful personalities have constituted themselves as clogs in the wheels of speedy development of the administration.
Mrs Buhari, who spoke at a conference organized by Project 4+4 in Abuja, however did not mention the names of the powerful persons. The event was also attended by the wife of the Vice President, Dolapo Osinbajo.
The First Lady explained that the government has achieved a lot but could have achieved more or even achieved all it has in one year but for two people in government who will never allow things to move fast. The President wife said that she was disappointed in men who rather than fight these two men will go to them in the night begging for favour. Mrs. Buhari urged Nigerian women to rise up and fight.
According to her, ” I have realized that Sen Babafemi Ojodu, Special Adviser political to the President, and Dr. Hajo Sani, my aide Sajo and wife of the Vice-President Mrs Osinbajo are not comfortable with my saying this and want me to confine myself to my prepared speech but we must say the truth, she said with emotions The President’s wife insisted that the powerful duo are retrogressive elements preventing the government from moving forward.
My decision to reproduce the contents as thenewsguru.com reported it [the same way all the media captured the story] is to put things in its proper perspective, mostly against the background of what happened yesterday [10/12/2018] while l was reviewing topical issues on Lagos Talk – 91.3 FM; a live weekly radio program which lasts for one and half hour every Monday.
Nearly every caller [yesterday] praised Mrs Aisha Buhari’s courage for saying the truth always, even if it is against the husband, some however would have preferred her mentioning the names of those two monsters. Of all the callers yesterday, two were very remarkable in their analysis of the revelation and both called from abroad – one of them that l can remember specifically called from Glasgow in Scotland, United Kingdom.
The man from Glasgow argued that it was not enough for Aisha Buhari to have made the revelation “because Nigerians know that a cabal is running Nigeria and not Buhari but her speech would be glorious if she had mentioned the names of these two men.” “For not being able to mention their names, she has not helped us”, the man concluded.
Aisha Buhari is beautiful; somebody close to her once told me that she is very brilliant. She is courageous and bold; “she is even bolder than lion”, as another person attested while talking about her character. Another says “she is audaciously daring and so fearless in pursuance of her marked targets”. Is she calculative in her maneuvering? Yes, she is, and with masterpiece efficiency.
If all these attributes are the stuff this woman is made of, how come she could not mention the name of those “two or three men” [her exact words as she tune down in the video clip published]? Maybe we have to look at some of her audacious move in some other clime, compare those with the present before arriving at a judicious conclusion.
In April 2015 [I forgotten the date]; her husband, having won the election but waiting to be sworn-in as President, in a social party held in Lagos by the All Progressive Congress, Aisha Buhari came out boldly to thank and appreciate Ahmed Bola Tinibu [National Leader of the APC] for making it possible for the husband [Muhammadu Buhari] to win the election.
That singular act shall remain glaring evidence that the woman is not only bold but that she has good memory for everything done unto her and she would always show appreciation for those that favoured her at one time or the other. It means she is not the type of person that will get something good from you and turn her back on the benefactor. She is not naturally an ingrate.
It must have been the reason of her not being an ingrate that her first outburst against her husband and the APC government was recorded on October 14, 2016, where she admitted that her husband is being held hostage by a cabal, while speaking in an interview with the BBC Hausa Service.
“The president does not know 45 out of 50, for example, of the people he appointed and I don’t know them either, despite being his wife of 27 years,” Aisha Buhari lamented. “Some people are sitting down in their homes folding their arms only for them to be called to come and head an agency or a ministerial position,” she added. When asked to mention names of those who have hijacked the Buhari administration, she said: “You will know them if you watch television.”
On her husband’s second term bid at the time, Mrs. Buhari had retorted: “He is yet to tell me, but I have decided as his wife, that if things continue like this up to 2019, I will not go out and campaign again and ask any woman to vote like I did before. I will never do it again”.
This unequalled bold talk, which was delivered in the year 2016, marked Aisha out as a woman of substance.
Then came Monday October 9, 2018, Aisha Buhari demonstrated once again that character of frankly being bold and standing for the truth when she publicly upbraided the Chief Medical Director of the State House Medical Centre, Doctor Husain Munir, for the poor state of the health facility established to take care of the President, Vice-President, their families as well as members of staff of the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
It was typically a startling and astonishing revelation bordering on the level of corruption that had conquered the Nigerian landscape.
“I am happy the MD of Aso Rock Clinic is here. Dr. Munir, I am happy you are here. As you are all aware, for the last six months, Nigeria wasn’t stable because of my husband’s ill-health. We thank God he has fully recovered now”.
“If somebody like Mr. President can spend several months outside Nigeria, then you wonder what will happen to a man in the street. Few weeks ago, I was sick as well. They advised me to take the first flight out to London; I refused to go. I said I must be treated in Nigeria because there is a budget for an assigned clinic to take care of us. If the budget is N100m, we need to know how the budget is spent. Along the line, I insisted they call Aso Clinic to find out if the X-ray machine is working.
They said it was not working. They didn’t know I was the one that was supposed to be in that hospital at that very time. I had to go to a hospital that was established by foreigners 100 per cent. What does that mean? So, I think it is high time we did the right thing. If something like this can happen to me, there is no need for me to ask the governors’ wives what is happening in their states. This is Abuja and this is the highest seat of government, and this is the Presidential Villa”.
That was when Nigerians knew the bitter truth that there was not even a “single syringe” and “no Panadol” in the Villa Clinic.
On Sunday, October 7, 2018, Aisha Buhari launched a scathing attack on her husband’s political party, APC, in an angry message splashed on her social media pages and dispatched to email boxes of journalists.
“It is disheartening to note that some aspirants used their hard earned money to purchase nomination forms, got screened, cleared and campaigned vigorously yet found their names omitted on Election Day. These forms were bought at exorbitant prices”, she wrote. And then Mrs. Buhari went on to decry the culture of handing out automatic tickets to imposed candidates; a culture that some say has become deep-seated in the governing APC.
“Many others contested and yet had their result delayed, fully knowing that automatic tickets have been given to other people. All Progressives Congress (APC) being a party whose cardinal principle is change and headed by a comrade/activist whose main concern is for the common man, yet, such impunity could take place under its watch. Given this development, one will not hesitate than dissociate from such unfairness, be neutral and speak for the voiceless. It is important for the populace to rise against impunity and for voters to demand from aspirants to be committed to the provision of basic amenities”, she concluded.
While some may come to the conclusion that Aisha Buhari’s outburst against Adams Oshiomhole and the APC was as the result of his brother, Dr. Mahmood Halilu Ahmed, losing out in Adamawa State governorship primary, majority of people hold a contrary view. This majority focused more on the woman’s pedigree of sincerely protesting against injustice with adequate boldness, as her reason for the outburst than parochial thought of his brother losing primary.
Then, this latest revelation of two or three men taking POWER of administering Nigeria from Buhari, should give us real concern. The concern of the First Lady is revealed in her frustration when she wondered aloud if there are still men in Nigeria to confront this deadly two-man mafia/cabal squad. How do we, the people of Nigeria, deal with this situation?
One, the Nigerian people can rise up in holy anger [not Jihad anyway] and march on Abuja to remove those two monsters that have torpedoed out common destiny. This can only be possible if two other things will conspire with us. The need to know these men is crucial and compulsory as well as knowing place or places of their residency because they may not be living in Abuja [they might be staying in Bama in Borno State for all it matters].
In addition to this is the need to know if President Buhari would not unleash the full force of the military on those citizens who might be heading to Abuja for the purpose of removing the Monsters.
Two and this is very democratic, the citizenry should rise in a democratic form of fraternity, with [our] Permanent Voters Card [PVC] in our hands, and vote out Buhari and those he surrendered power to in February 2019. This, if properly implemented; would definitely give us a favourable result, but then will Aisha Buhari not be affected negatively as the shame of being rejected at the polls and being thrown out of the Villa may be too much for her to bear?
There is yet a third option and this might be too technical to implement but if we can go by it, it is an option that leaves all in winning/winning state. Can Nigerians meet with Aisha Buhari and persuade her to give us the names of the two or three. Once we get the names and details of their places of abode, the problem would be almost fully solved.
While l will always refused to ever contemplate that Aisha Buhari have other motives than patriotism in doing what she is doing, I am not unmindful of the fact that she is a human being with the inbuilt trait to protect her territories and like every other human being, she could do this surreptitiously.
Until the otherwise is proved, l shall remain one of her fans, saluting her for giving us hope. I shall also not fail to warn her that if she fails to take her husband by the hand and lead him away to Daura in Katsina State early enough, and that is before the 2019 general election, Nigerians shall speak in a mighty speech that will find a permanent solution in reversing “the rule of abdication”.
Nigerians have spoken – this court adjourns till next week.
