Talented Yoruba actress, Aisha Abimbola a.k.a ‘Omoge Campus’ is dead. The tall light skinned actress died on Tuesday, May 15th in Canada.Her sad demise was announced by her colleague, Bisola Badmus, who shared her picture on Instagram.

1.Her personality
In an interview Aisha had described herself as a God fearing person. According to her:”Aisha Abimbola is a cool headed, God fearing, humble and down to earth lady. I’m a mother. I’m from a polygamous home. My father had appetite for women and so had five wives. My mother had five of us and I am number three. My mum had a set of triplets and I am one of them. And that explains my Eta Oko”.

2 Abimbola was a graduate of Lagos State Polytechnic where she studied Catering and Hotel Management.

3.In 2015, Abimbola beat Faithia Balogun, Dayo Amusa, Mercy Aigbe and Iyabo Ojo to win the City People Entertainment Award for Yoruba Movie Personality of the Year.
Private life
- Before her death, Aisha Abimbola was formerly married to a colleague, Victor Ibrahim. She was a proud mother of two kids.
5.She lost her mum at a tender age.
“ I lost my mum at a very tender age. I was in primary five then and I still feel it up till today. It was tough growing up without a mother” she said in a chat with Vanguard.
6.How Hausa helped her
Abimbola had said being able to speak Hausa fluently helps her to land movie roles
“I speak fluent Hausa and it has helped me to penetrate some places and achieve certain things. So I started acting right from my primary school days. I joined drama groups, dance groups even in church, I was part of the drama group. Then one fateful day, I was in my HND II in Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu campus. I ran into the Papa Ajasco crew led by Antar Laniyan and other prominent stars”.
7.Tribalism in Nollywood.
She once revealed in a chat that there is tribaism in Nollywood.
” There’s tribalism in the industry. Most Igbo producers are more comfortable working with their Igbo folks. It is even the Yoruba actors that go after Igbos as long as the person can interpret the role”.
Beyond acting
8.Beyond acting, Abimbola was also an events planner.

9. Abimbola before her death had said she has learnt never to trust anybody with her life and career.
”I have learnt never to trust anybody with my life or career. You have your life and you are the architect of your life and your destiny. My happiness depends on me and me alone”.
Religious background
- Abimbola was born into a Muslim family. However, she converted to Christianity after she had certain convictions within her.
