Nigerian singer, Abolore Akande a.k.a 9ice is officially 40 years old today.
To mark the special day, 9ice took to his Instagram to share some lovely photos from his birthday photoshoot. He also commended his parents and wife for taking care of him. He wrote:Thanks to my mum for giving birth to me. Never regretted coming to the world through her! Thanks to my dad for just not the sperm but the advice, the time, the commitment and the prayers. Thanks to my wife for always waking me up with prayers not for her but for me. We all need more prayers”.

In an interview 9ice revealed that it took him years to attain stardom
Hear him:” I will say it took me about eight years before I attained stardom. I have started recording and releasing songs since 2000 and the fame and limelight came in 2007”.

The ‘Gongo Aso’ crooner was playing football before he became a star.
“I was playing football. I was also in school just like every other young man out there trying every alternative to see which one would bring success”, he told Punch.

After having four kids from three women, the ‘Photocopy’ crooner said there is no crime it.
“To have more children is not a crime, but the sad thing is that people would believe what they want to believe. I am currently in the studio working on new songs and I am also promoting my new song, ‘Ebami’, but no one would write about that. All they know is to peddle false news about me”, he said in an interview.
