Nigerian singer, Aramide and Pelumi Alli, her husband, have welcomed a new baby.
The soulful singer took to her social media page on Tuesday to announce the arrival of her first child –a baby girl — with her husband.
In a post alongside the photo of the little girl, the ‘Funmi lowo’ diva described her baby as their “biggest blessing of the decade,” while appreciating God for sustaining the family.
Aramide also shared her baby’s names, revealing that she was born on December 26, 2019.
“Our Precious and Perfect Gift from God. Anjolaoluwa Charis Alli. 26:12:19. The biggest blessing of the decade for us. Thank you, God, for everything. Happy New Year!” she wrote on Instagram.
Aramide tied the knot with Pelumi on April 18, 2015, at the Muave Event Centre in Ibadan.
Aramide won ‘Best Vocal Performance’ (Female) for ‘Iwo Nikan,’ her hit song, at the 2015 Headies. In 2018, the graduate of political science from the University of Jos (UNIJOS), stated that her genre of music is not boring.
“I still get invited to perform at gigs every weekend. I am not sure my music is boring. Soul music is for the mature minds. I don’t make music just for myself. I make music for everybody. What matters most is that people listen to my music. Soul music is not noise music, it is music from the soul,” she said.
