Nigerian songstress, Bukola Elemide a.k.a Asa is one of such individuals who have made global headlines through her musical ingenuity.
The ‘Fire on the mountain’ star today teased fans with a new song and video snippet after a four-year hiatus from music.
TheNewsGuru recalls that the last song Asa released was ‘Eyo’ (A song off her ‘bed of stones’ album) in 2015.
She took to her Instagram page today to share a snippet of the video of her new song
The video ended with the figures, 14.05, implying the release date for the song.
In 2004 Aṣa met her manager and friend, Janet Nwose, who introduced her to Cobhams Emmanuel Asuquo, who in turn became the producer of her first studio album Asa (Asha).
Asa returned to France at the age of 20 to study at the IMFP school of Jazz music, where she was told by teachers that she should go ahead and become a recording artist because she was ready and needed no schooling. Back in Nigeria, her first single, “Eyé Adaba,” became her claim to fame.
