Blackface shuns 2face ’20 years a king’ shindig
Popular Nigerian singer, Innocent Ujah Idibia a.k.a 2face now called ‘ 2baba’ recently celebrated 20-years on stage as the king of music in Nigeria at an exclusive appreciation dinner with corporate and individual partners whose invaluable support birthed his success story.
TheNewsGuru reports that the end event was held on Wednesday 17th of April at Echoes Of Calabar, Victoria Island , Lagos.
The shindig which was a gathering of the movers and shakers in the Nigerian music industry had in attendance DJ Jimmy Jatt, Kenny Ogungbe, Senator Florence Ita Giwa, Olisa Adibua, Faze, Toyin Subair, Dede Mabiaku and a host of others.
As expected ,his estranged friend and former bandmate, Blackface who 2baba made references to while sharing how the journey began, was conspicuously absent at the event.
Recall that Blackface recently reignited his beef with 2face in March following the release of his diss song.In the song, the singer accused 2face of being gay.
In a recent interview 2face recounted how his rift with Blackface began.
According to him: “I have had series of meetings with concerned people. Blackface started attacking me right from when I decided to go solo. I tried as much as possible to give credit to anybody that contributed to any of my songs. I have never hidden anything away from Blackface. Both of us have worked together for years before I decided to go solo. And before I went solo, I practically informed every member of the defunct plantashun boiz”, he said.
