In this interview with TheNewsGuru, the Banking and Finance graduate of the University of Lagos , opens up on her acting career, quitting banking for the entertainment industry, nudity, among other issues.
Why did you decided to be an actress?
I have always been in the entertainment industry, I started out with beauty pageantry, modelling and working as a video vixen. I love being creative, making people happy and passing across important messages to the society
What was your first audition experience like?
It was interesting; Bunmi Davies handled the audition for Koffi and Owen Gee’s comedy sitcom “Saint and the Silly”
When exactly did you decide to become an actress?
That was in 2015; I decided I had to make a proper decision to take acting serious.
What was your parent’s reaction? Were they supportive?
They were supportive, although they also wanted me to have a side business and another source of income. Their support has been amazing.
What movie gave your big break?
That should be Olaedo, The Fisher Girl, I played the Villain which was very different from other characters I played before then.
I have seen a couple of your hot and sexy pics online. Do you intentionally flaunt your sex appeal?
I think women should feel comfortable in their bodies. I feel comfortable, those pictures really make me happy, and that’s why my fans love the pictures too.
What do you do to maintain such a sexy body?
I am constantly improving and taking new diet plans. But the key things are lots of water, green smoothies, green tea and aerobics.
Can you allow your boobs to be fondled in a movie?
I don’t think that is allowed by the censorship board in Nigeria.
Can you allow your boobs to be touched?
Touch? That has happened in some short films I have acted in. That aspect of touching was important to pass the message across
What are your views about sex?
I think it is over rated these days. It’s an intimate act between adults with full consent
How about premarital sex?
It should be avoided as much as possible and I applaud the work of awareness groups, teaching teenagers and going to schools to sensitize young Nigerians. Most young people have premarital sex without knowing the weight of responsibility that comes with it. We live in a multi -cultural society. Millennials are influenced more by social media than by their circle of friends.
Can you do without sex in a relationship?
Yes! I can, there are lots of important things couples can do without sex necessarily being involved. When a couple is married they can have as much romance as they want
I read in an interview where you said you can go nude?
Yes I pointed out that nudity is not pornography, it is art. They are two different things.
Does that mean you can go nude for arts sake?
It must be very important and necessary. One could be nude for a pregnancy scene, a scene that portrays giving birth. It doesn’t have to depict sex .I think the African mentality should be refined.
Will you love to be part of BBNaija?
Funny enough, a couple of my friends have told me to go for next year’s audition. I am still thinking about it.
