Like every other Nollywood actress, Shan George has had her fair share of scandals and bright moments in Nollywood. The light skinned actress and filmmaker who has been accused of going into marriage and coming out of it over three times, dating younger men and decorating her body with countless tattoos, has risen above these scandals, now focused on giving back to Nollywood.
The half caste actress recently poured out her mind about her pains in Nollywood. According to her, cabals are killing the Industry and this is limiting the growth of the movie industry.
“There are a lot of cabals in Nollywood. They say If you don’t use some individuals in your film, they cannot accept your movie. These are the reasons the industry isn’t growing the way it should.
“In every other area we are doing well. We have very good writers now, we have dynamic directors and producers. We have a lot of young people doing very good movies, but cabals are killing Nollywood. If these cabals can open up a bit for others to come in, the industry will become better” she told Hip TV.
Shan was born to a Nigerian mum and a British dad. Known for having issues with her “love life”, her first marriage was when she was 16. She is an alumnus of the University of Lagos where she studied Mass Communication and went on to produce her debut movie titled All For Winnie during her final year.
