Joy Tongo, former talent manager of Cynthia Morgan has revealed why she parted ways with the ‘German Juice’ singer.
Tongo took to her Instagram page where she told her own part of the story.
Her statement read in parts: “In June of 2016, I parted with Cynthia Morgan after realizing that she was no longer manageable. Less than a year later, Cynthia also parted ways with Jude Okoye and released herself from her contract before it ended without penalty or any legal proceedings from Northside. To this day, she maintains the right to her legal and stage name. After all these years, Cynthia Morgan is persistent in her efforts to tarnish our names just to seek sympathy from her fans”.
TheNewsGuru recalls in an Instagram chat on Saturday, the vocalist opened up on how the fallout of her exit from her former label affected her music identity, VEVO account, music royalties, and social media accounts.
According to Morgan, the fallout came after Jude had claimed she didn’t meet her financial obligations on the monies spent on producing the videos to her songs.
“Jude Okoye took over my VEVO account, made me stop using Cynthia Morgan as a stage name because he claimed I did not pay him all the money spent on producing my videos,” she said.
“I would have won if I battled him back then but I felt it wasn’t necessary. I paid for my accommodation, the only thing he did for me was to shoot videos that he didn’t even promote.”
