Obiora Nwokolobia-Agu better known as Obiwon in the Nigerian music industry has shared his recipe for a successful marriage.

The music minister and Evangelist who got married in October 2011 noted that money and good sex are not the recipe for a good marriage.

According to him, friendship, obedience to God and submitting to one another is the recipe for a good marriage.

The ‘Obimo’ crooner made this known on his social media page.

“In my little years married and from what I’ve seen, I realise: Money does not make a good marriage Great sex does not make a good marriage Children do not make a good marriage

Surely these three things enhance marriage but they do not form the foundation. I opine that ultimately a good marriage is made of: Two friends. Fully and mutually yielded to God .Fully and mutually submitting to each other, yielding humbly and unselfishly to one another, daily.

That to me is the foundation that withstands everything in the world and the imperfections of our human nature. After these then the first 3 can be added as the icing on the cake.If you’re reading this. My prayer for you is this foundation! Solid as a rock”.

In July 2008 Obiwon revealed that he had undergone a spiritual experience and announced a transition into the Christian/Gospel music genre.

His artiste name ‘Obiwon’ was also re-branded to ‘Obiora Obiwon’ to enable him create a stronger and more distinct identity for his brand. In 2009 he released his second studio album and first Christian/Gospel album The Rebirth which became noted for songs such as “F.a.t.h.e.r”, “Victorious” and “The Rebirth (Kene Gi)”.

The major highlight of the album turned out to be the hit love song and wedding anthem “Obi Mu O”, a song dedicated to his then wife to be.Since transiting to Christian/Gospel music, Obiwon has continued to minister at various churches, Christian and other secular events.
