In recent times, DJ Cuppy has been under fire over her voyage into music with many condemning her voice texture.
However in a post on her Instagram page on Friday, the disc jockey said she will not be dettered by what anyone says to her.

“I normally don’t like to share too much of my personal feelings on social media, but I am in such a place of peace that I would love to inspire you,” she wrote.
“This morning, I stopped for a moment to look back at my journey over the years. I have gone from a young girl with dreams to a woman with a global vision.
“Anyone in the industry will tell you how challenging and often mentally draining our work is but I have always loved music and that pure passion is what keeps me going. Nobody will ever deter me from my purpose
“I don’t know where my mission will take me but I am loving each day it brings. Music makes me happy, and that is all that matters.”
In August 2015, Cuppy set off on her first DJ tour to 8 cities in Africa, titled “Cuppy Takes Africa”. She visited Nigeria, Senegal, Ghana, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and South Africa. The “Cuppy Takes Africa” tour included performances, major artist collaborations, and charitable engagements supported by GTB Bank and the Dangote Foundation.Later that year, she interned at Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
