Nigerian music community lament over death of Ras Kimono’s wife
The Nigerian music community has lamented over the death of Efemena Okedi, wife of late reggae legend, Ras Kimono.
Efe’s passed on four weeks after her husband was buried.
Paying tribute to her, gospel reggae artiste Rigtheousman wrote on Facebook:”What is going on? Another black Sunday. I am speechless.”
Commenting on the death of Efe, popular broadcaster Bisi Olatilo wrote: “What a sad time for us. We have not come to terms with Ras Kimono’s death, only to be shocked by the loss of his wife again. “She was hale and hearty from my last observation and I had no reason to think that she will give up the ghost soon”, she told Vanguard.
Self proclaimed cross over king, Alariwo reacting to the death of Efe wrote on Instagram:” I was in church when I heard this sad news..Ras Kimono passed on a Sunday & you decided to join him on a sunday. Hmmmmm Efeeeeee It is well..Rest In Peace cos I really don’t know why but we will miss you..No Be Lie!”.
Tony Okoroji, veteran singer said this about Efe:” Brilliant, beautiful and blessed. Efe Okedi was a special kind of woman. Few Nigerian women have made the kind of impression that Efe Okedi has made on me. Efe did everything to make sure Kimono was buried like a king. I am really not sure I can deal with this.”
