Street rapper, Naira Marley has been slammed over an insensitive tweet he shared on Twitter.
The ‘Mafo’ singer had taken to his Twitter page on Monday, March 23, 2020, where he had reacted to the surge of coronavirus.
Unlike most celebrities who have called out the government, advised people on social distancing and so on, Naira Marley questioned the authenticity of the existence of the pandemic saying “Retweet if u don’t believe in CoronaVirus”.

His statement didn’t go down well with a lot of Nigerians on social media as they attacked him over his insensitivity and ignorance.
I agree with you @atomified … That dude has abused his platform, led young people astray a long time ago but then they say the tune is good and dance to it.

You are one of my faves but I have to tell you the truth.
Now is the time to use your clout to spread correct information instead of enabling people to lose their guards.#StayHome #LockdownNow #COVID19 is real!
