As the coronavirus crisis rages on, Nigerian entertainers have taken to new ways to engage their fans and put themselves in the spotlight.
On Monday, 30th of March 2020, veteran music producers, Sarz and Shizzi had a ‘battle’ via Instagram.
The subject of their beef was simple: who has the biggest hits. This is an argument that music pundits across the country have argued on Twitter and in forums and continues to drive conversation.
The duo compared hits, discussed the finer points of their careers and collaborations and engaged in playful banter all on Instagram live.
Davido, Don Jazzy, Kel P, Peruzzi, and others joined the Instagram live battle. American producers, Timbaland and Swizz Beatz also didint miss out in the fun. For two hours and thirty minutes, Nigerians were thrilled by the talented music makers.

Sarz dug deep into his music archives and played the unreleased version of Wizkid’s collaboration with Drake.
On his part, Shizzi played an unreleased version of Davido‘s ‘Blow My Mind’ featuring Meek Mill and a song on which Wizkid featured Swizz Beatz.
All in all, Sarz noted that the real win from the IG live ‘ battle’ was the fact that they were able to put their works in the spotlight.
The real win from last night was highlighting our catalogues and getting our due stripes as music producers. Sooner than later, creatives behind the music will get what they deserve in this industry. Thank you for watching ♥️#SINYM
