Reggae Blues crooner, Harrysong has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to stop borrowing money from other countries to sustain the country’s economy.
Recall that the president had asked the national assembly to approve a loan request of N850 billion to fund the 2020 budget — which was okayed by the red chamber during Tuesday’s plenary.
Reacting to the development, the entertainer said there is need for Buhari to change his ideology of revitalizing the country’s economy through incessant borrowings.
The highlife singer also called on the president to rather invest in education, noting that therein lies the potentials for nurturing human resources needed to sustain the nation’s economy.
He urged Buhari to start paying students certain allowances for their upkeep, adding that such would improve their passion for learning and overall development of the educational system.
“Buhari invest in education, it is never too late, start paying students, we need brains to sustain this country’s economy and please stop borrowing money from other countries,” he wrote on Instagram.
