There’s a sick pleasure derived from seeing people suffer in Nigeria-Kate Henshaw
Svelte Nollywood actress, Yvonne Jegede has said there appears to be a form of “sick pleasure derived from seeing people suffer” in Nigeria.
The multi-talented entertainermade this known on her twitter account after a terrifying experience at an unnamed international airport in the country.
According to the movie star, passengers were excessively delayed during the luggage screening stage because there was a shortage of scanning devices at the airport.
The actress further noted that it is often considered as a nonconformity from the norm when “things work properly” in Nigeria.
“There seems to be some sick pleasure derived from seeing people suffer in Nigeria. When things are working properly it seems like an anomaly… Long queues of people with their luggage trying to get into the International airport because only 2 scanners are functional,” she wrote.
TheNewsGuru, TNG recalls that Mike Ezuruonye had months ago compared Ghana’s international airport with Nigeria’s. The actor described Ghana’s airport as ‘beautiful and a testimony to African politicians and leaders” adding that Africa has enough resources to develop and maintain “standard amenities”.
