Nigerian songstress, Waje has stated that she received a ‘direct message’ on Instagram that one of the attendees of the just concluded African Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA) had symptoms of Coronavirus.
In the same vein, the rumour was heightened after controversial Nigerian blogger, Kemi Olunoyo claimed a popular Nigerian celebrity who attended the AMVCA had tested positive to Coronavirus.
A lady identified on Twitter as Ifeoma Chukwuogo (@Fizzy Thatcher) also warned people who attended the event to self-isolate and watch themselves for some days. She also said information has reached her that the infected person has already reported himself and she would delete her tweets to avoid further panic.
In the meantime, if you attended the AMVCAs , please self isolate immediately.
If you have come in close contact with anyone who did, to be safe also self-isolate and watch yourself for some days.— Ifeoma Chukwuogo (@FizzyThatcher) March 19, 2020
