Sheriff Oborevwori, Member Representing Okpe Constituency was on Monday re-elected Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), holding the Speakership post for the second time.
TheNewsGuru (TNG) reports Ochor Ochor, Representing Ukwuani Constituency emerged as Deputy Speaker of the House, taking over from Friday Ossai Osanebi.
Oborevwori was re-elected Speaker by members of the 7th Delta State House of Assembly as the 11th Speaker of the DTHA.
Oborevwori, who was first elected member of the DTHA in 2015 to represent Okpe State Constituency, and shook off opposition from Harrison Akpojaro of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2019 general elections to retain his seat, first became the Speaker of the DTHA in 2017.
He was first elected Speaker of the House on May 11 2017, after the ouster of Monday Igbuya as Speaker of the House.
