The Federal Government on Saturday through the Presidential Committee on North East Initiaiative, PCNI gave a sum of N10,000 each to the 58 victims of the accidental bombing that happened in the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in Rann, Borno State on January 17.
This was confirmed via tweets from the twitter handle of the PCNI @NePcni.
According to the tweet, the care givers and hospitals, however, got a N1million donation.
“Prof Hauwa Biu of PCNI on a visit to the Victims of the Rann bomblast, presenting a cash support of N10,000.
“58 victims of the Rann accidental air strike received 10,000 Naira each from the PCNI”, the committee confirmed via their Twitter.
“The care givers and hospital staff received 1 Million Naira donation”, it added.
TheNewsGuru.com reports that on January 17, an Air Force jet dropped bombs on Rann, a village housing Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) killing over 236 people with others sustaining various degrees of injuries.
