Speculations of Kiss Daniel’s exit from G-Worldwide Entertainment was confirmed yesterday as the singer unveiled his own label – Fly Boy Inc. Neither Kiss Daniel nor G-Worldwide associates are yet to reveal the reason behind his exit.
Kiss Daniel signed a 5-year contract with Emperor Geezy’s G-Worldwide Entertainment in 2013 . This implies that the singer has only spent about four years before he dumped the label.
Reports reaching TheNewsGuru reveals money played an important role in the controversy that led to both parties going their separate ways.
In 2015, social media was rife with rumours that Kiss Daniel was being paid a paltry allowance of 50,000 monthly, despite his star status. G-Worldwide debunked the claims.
While he was an artiste under the label, Kiss Daniel could not collaborate with another artiste. His debut album had no collaborations apart from a song he did with Sugarboy, who is still signed on to G-Worldwide.
He once said in an interview: “I’m signed to a record label and the management for now only allows me to collaborate with in-house artistes Dj Shabsy and Sugarboy. Maybe later I’ll do songs with other artistes but for now it’s out of it”.
Nigerians have applauded Kiss Daniel’s new move, hoping that the move will blossom into bigger and better things for the talented singer.
