Japanese billionaire, Yusaku Maezawa after reserving every seat on SpaceX’s first flight around the moon is now in serious search for a female partner to go to the moon with him.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Maezawa has conspicuously spelt out the criteria he wants, and the lucky person must be a single woman aged 20 or over, who wants to enjoy life to the fullest.
Speaking on his decision, the Japanese billionaire, who has opened an application portal for his search of life partner, said he has been able to acquire his share of money, social status, and fame but now wants to restart his life.
Born in Japan, Maezawa, whose net worth is US$2 billion, according to Forbes, made his rock band debut after high school, and then founded Zozo Inc that he went on to sell to Softbank Group in September 2019.
The Japanese billionaire has a passion for collecting contemporary art, Japanese antiques, supercars, wine etc, and he is known for purchasing J. M. Basquiat’s $110 million painting.
Maezawa, who in 2019 did a 100 million yen (approximately N330 million) giveaway on Twitter (N3.3 million each to 100 winners), had promised to give out N3.3 billion to 1,000 of his Twitter followers this year.
The billionaire, who said the giveaways were part of a social experiment to study the effects of universal basic income, will be the first civilian to fly around the moon on SpaceX’s Starship rocket, scheduled to launch in 2023.
“I have lived exactly as I’ve wanted to up until now. For 21 years, I’ve been working running around as a company president, causing lots of people to worry along the way, but also receiving a lot of love and support from people, too. In the end, I’ve been able to put a temporary end to that brilliant life as company president.
“I’m sure I’ve been able to acquire my share of money, social status, and fame along the way. But now I’m restarting my life. I’m 44 now. As feelings of loneliness and emptiness slowly begin to surge upon me, there’s one thing that I think about: Continuing to love one woman.
“While it’s something that is taken for granted by everyone, it’s something that I haven’t quite been able to do until now. When I got the offer to go on this program, I was first taken over by emotions of embarrassment and pride, and I thought about refusing the offer. The more I thought about it, however, I started to think a chance like this might not come around again.
“I started to think that this was a good chance to seriously face up to the idea of “continuing to love one woman” which I’d only really had a hazy image about. I made my decision and finally decided to go on the program.I want to find a “life partner”. With that future partner of mine, I want to shout our love and world peace from outer space. I look forward to meeting someone amazing,” Maezawa wrote on a website for applicants.
The Japanese billionaire and his partner’s voyage around the moon will be the subject of a new documentary program, Full Moon Lovers that will air on AbemaTV.
Applications to become Maezawa partner will close on January 17, and the billionaire will select the lucky one by the end of March.
