Former Chief Judge of Ondo State, Justice Gladys Olateru-Olagbegi is dead.
The 71-year-old former judge reportedly died on Sunday night after a prolonged battle with an undisclosed ailment.
Sources close to the famous Olatery-Olagbegi’s family of the ancient town of Owo said she died at the University Teaching Hospital, Ibadan, Oyo State capital.
Late Justice Olateru-Olagbegi He said: “Our sister-in-law died during a brief illness, she was hale and hearty few days ago when I saw her, but her death was so sudden.
“She was at the hospital for just few days before she passed away on Sunday.” He said the burial arrangement would be announced later by the family.
The late jurist, was married to the former Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Ogun State, Professor Solomon Olateru-Olagbegi.
She became the Chief Judge of Ondo State in 2003 and retired on 26th October, 2010 after attaining the retiring age of 65.
