RevolutionNow protest: Athletes forced to train outside as soldiers surround National Stadium[PHOTOS]
Athletes who work out in National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos, have been forced to do their physical exercise outside as security agents surround the facility on Monday.
The security agents have the OP MESA vans parked around the stadium.
The Operation MESA or OP MESA, as it is commonly referred to, is a joint Internal Security Operational platform made up of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force.
They surrounded the national stadium to prevent protesters from holding a scheduled #RevolutionNow protest headed by Sahara Reporters publisher and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress in the 2019 General Election, Mr. Omoyele Sowore.
TheNewsGuru reports that Sowore is currently being held by operatives of the Department of State Services.
