The Police in Ogun State has arrested two suspected pipeline vandals, Tunde Ramoni, 45, and Yinka Olufowobi, 33.
The suspects were arrested on May 30 at Simawa, by operatives attached to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Camp Police Division who were on patrol.
It was gathered that the suspects were in a blue car with registration number RC862AAA loaded with sacks of petroleum products.
The suspects were said to have attempted to escape but were chased and arrested.
According to the police, the suspects confessed that they were coming from Oloparun Village through Ogijo were they got the petroleum products from vandalised pipeline.

The suspects were said to have disclosed that they carried out the act in collaboration with some persons resident at Ilara in Ogijo.
Police spokesman Abimbola Oyeyemi, a Deputy Superintendent (DSP) said the case has been transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) for further investigation, adding that plans were underway to arrest their accomplices.
