The acting Inspector General of Police (IGP), Muhammed Adamu has described inspected polling units in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja as impressive.
Adamu after inspecting polling units in Garki, Live Camp, Maitama Primary School and Area 8 of the Abuja environment during the Presidential and National Assembly Elections gave the commendation while briefing newsmen.
According to the acting IGP, the polling units are peaceful. The party agents said they are happy with the arrangement and they don’t have any challenge.
In an interview with one of the voters David Etedano, while admitting that the Election materials are intact when they were brought to the polling units, expressed worry about the process at the Maitama Primary School as being slow.
“They are not making it easy for us. We have been standing in the sun”, he added.
One of the Ad-hoc staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Ahmed Olarewanju also admitted that the Maitama polling unit where he is assigned has been well organized and they arrived as early as 8am the official time of registration.
