The Majority Leader of the House of Representatives Hon. Alhassan Ado Doguwa has said that the 9th National Assembly is going to work without frictions with the Presidency as opposed to what obtained in the 8th National Assembly.
Doguwa who stated this in a remark in his office when the Executive and members of the House Press Corps paid him a courtesy call in said that the era of Executive-Legislative squabbles is over with the inauguration of the 9th National Assembly.
He charged journalists reporting to project a good image of the apex legislature since the have been well informed of the internal working of the law making institution.
He noted that the 8th National Assembly did not enjoy a good working relationship with the Presidency but however dismissed insunations that the 9th National Assembly is going to be a rubber stamp to the Executive arm of government.
Doguwa who represents Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency of Kano State was appointed the House Leader a forthnight and previously held position as Chief Whip of 8th National Assembly.
