Buhari demotes Fashola, Amaechi as super ministers
President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday while apportioning portfolios to the new ministers made adjustments to the ministries of Power, Works and Housing which was hitherto overseen by Babatunde Raji Fashola and Transportation and Aviation initially handled by Rotimi Amaechi as a single ministry.
While reading out the portfolios during inauguration on Wednesday, President Buhari apportioned Works and Housing Ministry to Fashola. He however declared a substantive Minister for Power; Sale Mamman.
The president also retained Rotimi Amaechi as the Transportation Minister but without the Aviation extension. Hadi Sirika who initially functioned as minister of State Aviation has now been substantially confirmed as Minister of Aviation.
Buhari also retained oversight of the Petroleum Ministry and announced former Bayelsa governor, Timipre Sylva as Minister of State.
