A medical Doctor shared a day-to-day body condition of persons with COVID-19 infection. While watching for these signs, it is always best to call your doctor or the NCDC toll-free lines at the earliest signs. Please avoid going to the hospital with these signs else you will infect others there. Call ahead.
Days 1 – 3:
- Symptoms almost similar to common cold
- Slight sore throat
- No fever, no tiredness, normal appetite
Day 4:
- Slight sore throat, body ache
- Hoarse voice
- Body temperature around 36.5 degrees Centigrade
- Slight loss in appetite
- Slight headache
- Minor diarrhea or indigestion
Day 5:
- Sore throat, hoarse voice
- Slight fever, between 36.5 & 36.7 degrees Centigrade
- Body weakness, joint pains
Day 6:
- Slight fever, around 37 degrees Centigrade
- Cough accompanied by mucus or dry cough
- Sore throat when eating, talking, or swallowing
- Fatigue, nausea
- Occasional breathing difficulty
- Pain in fingers
- Diarrhea, vomit
Day 7:
- Fever higher, between 37.4 – 37.8 degrees Centigrade
- Cough with sputum
- Body ache and headache
- Diarrhea more severe
- Vomit
Day 8:
- Fever of 38 degrees Centigrade and higher
- Breathing difficulties, chest heavy
- Continuous cough
- Headache, joint pains and hip pains
Day 9:
- Symptoms worsen
- Fever higher
- Cough more persistent, more severe
- Breathing difficult and laborious
At this time, blood tests and X-ray examinations of the lungs are required.
Prevention Better Than Cure
In some asymptomatic cases, the infected shows no signs yet is infecting others daily. It is best to
- Self Isolate If You Have Travelled Recently Or Been In Contact With Someone Who Tested Positive
- Stay Home
- Practice Social Distancing
- Wash Hands With Soap Under Running Water
- Wear A Mask (If Coughing)
- No Crowds
- No Trips
The virus doesn’t travel, it is humans that transmit the virus to others.
