Former National Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Adamu Muazu, has dumped the party for the governing All Progressives Congress (APC).
In confirmation Muazu’s defection to the APC, Personal Assistant to the President on New Media tweeted, Welcome home sir! “Bauchi Ta Dinke”.

While speaking to newsmen on the development, Bauchi PDP Publicity Secretary, Yayanuwa Zainabari, said: “Honestly, we have confirmed the exits of former national chairman, deputy national chairman and other two.
“It’s a big shock to the PDP. However, the party remains strong to sweep the election owing to APC’s failures,”
A source close to Muazu who spoke to TheNewsGuru under condition of anonymity that “former PDP national chairman, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, former deputy national chairman North, Alhaji Babayo Garba Gamawa, a former secretary to the federal government, Alhaji Ahmed Yayale, and Alhaji Kaulaha Aliyu, have all defected to the All Progressives Congress”.
Meanwhile, the PDP publicity secretary has alleged that the defectors took the decision to dump the party in order to escape being probed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for alleged corruption.
