Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Monday urged the Navy and the Joint Task Force (JTF), code-named: Operation Delta Safe, to avert future attack on his home.
Dr Jonathan spoke on Monday at his Otuoke home in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State when he hosted the Navy and members of the JTF.
The visit was meant to ascertain the level of damage on Dr Jonathan’s home, following an attack by gunmen on Christmas eve.
The former President urged them to dig deep into the attack.
“Be thorough as you seek to bring the perpetrators to book and ensure that such mindless attack does not happen again in any part of the country,” he said.
The guests said the visit was also meant to find the necessary solution to prevent recurrence of such attack.
Those on the visit were the JTF Commander, Rear Admiral Akinjide Akinrinade; the Flag Officer Commanding (FOC) Central Naval Command, Rear Admiral Saidu Garba; the Commander, Nigerian Navy Ship (NNS) Soroh, Commodore Felix Esekhile, among others.
