A little baby has been rescued alive after a fully boarded eighteen seater passenger bus conveying majorly market women plunged into the forest.

While the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has reiterated commitments to minimise road accidents by ensuring effective management of anticipated upsurge in human and vehicular traffic during the yuletide, the cause of the accident is yet unknown.

“My friend, help me thank this faithful God; by now my picture would have been rolling in on Facebook different versions of my life, but I am still alive to say Baba thank you.

“Who would have looked after my kids if not that God stood tall,” Victoria Akemu who was involved in the accident told TheNewsGuru.

Here are other photos from the accident scene:

Mrs. Akemu told TheNewsGuru the baby captured in the picture above was rescued alive, hale and hearty. She said no lives were lost, and passengers who sustained injuries were taken to a nearby hospital, and were recuperating.

She said the passenger bus was travelling from Onitsha to Delta State.
