United Nations, Economic Commission for Africa and the African Union are leading talks with other stakeholder public on how to seize opportunities for young people conducting business across Africa.
The meeting tagged, “Youth inclusiveness in driving the implementation agenda of fiscal policy, trade and investment through digital innovation in Africa ” is presently [Today] ongoing in Marrakech, Morocco.
The side event is holding on the margins of the fifty-second session of the Economic Commission for Africa Conference of African Ministers of Finance, Planning and Economic Development in Morroco.
According to a brief made available to the public by the organisers on the set goals of the meeting, one of the core objective the event set out to achieve is to leverage on the potential offered by the recently signed African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCTA) in engendering trade and bridge regional integration in the continent.
Among the expected outcomes of the summit is to ensure specific recommendation on the implementation of the AfCTA agreement related to the inclusion of young people in enhancing the business environment in Africa.
Also, the occasion aims to ascertain advocate stakeholder’s involvement in the implementation of AfCTA’s agreement by ECA and the African Union.
