Senate Spokesperson, Senator Godiya Akwashiki on Tuesday said if the Senate receives a petition on Deputy Senate President Ovie Omo-Agege that he was indicted in the US it will be treated.
TheNewsGuru.com (TNG) reports Akwashiki made this assertion while briefing Senate Correspondents at the National Assembly.
He said the Senate will not hesitate if it receives any petition on the issue that has been trending for over two weeks now on the social media.
On the position of Senate on Senator Elijah Abbot who was probed without a petition, Akwashiki said” that is a different thing because it happened here and the other one in the US.
“I am the spokesman of the Ninth Senate not that of US,” Akwashiki explained.
