Sosoliso plane crash survivor, Kechi Okwuchi on Tuesday stunned judges on America’s Got Talent as she performed a cover of Katy Perry’s ‘By The Grace of God’ during the quarterfinal of the show.The song was burdened with meaning. Okwuchi lives in Houston, where thousands are trying to survive epic flooding in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
After her captivating performance, Okwuchi broke down emotionally as all four judges gave her a standing ovation for her captivating performance.
She said:“I pray that my performance gave them something positive to see,” Okwuchi said. “I’m not even sure if people in Houston can see this, but I pray that they can … and that they feel something positive and they feel strength.”
“You are a survivor, you are an inspiration,” said one of the judges, Mel B. “You give people hope and passion and belief.”
A thrilled Kechi took to her Instagram page to thank everyone that supported her , urging them to help her move to the semi -finals by voting for her
She wrote:“I’m so emotional. You guys…this was an incredible experience. I am BEYOND grateful to God that I even made it this far. Tonight was incredible”.
