The Senate on Wednesday will screen the acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibrahim Magu.
Senate President, Dr Bukola Saraki confirmed the screening while presiding over plenary on Tuesday.
TheNewsGuru.com reports that with this development, there will be a beehive of activities at the Senate on Wednesday as both Magu of EFCC and Hameed Ali, Comptroller-General of Customs will be hosted by the Senate.
TheNewsGuru.com reports that Magu was earlier scheduled for screening in December 2016 but the screening was suspended due to a report released by the Department of State Services, DSS which alleged indicted him (Magu).
However but President Muhammadu Buhari later sent his name again, explaining that the EFCC Chairman has been investigated based on the report and was not found culpable.
TheNewsGuru.com reports If confirmed by the Senate tomorrow, Magu will become the substantive chairman of the anti-graft agency having acted in the capacity for over a year.
