Chelsea’s goalkeeper, Thibaut Courtois has played down the significance of Chelsea’s visit to Tottenham, insisting the match is no tougher than any other League game.
Chelsea take on their London rivals at White Hart Lane on Wednesday night as they look for a 14th consecutive Premier League win.
But despite Tottenham good form, the Belgian No. 1 Goalkeeper, Courtois believes the match might not be as difficult as facing some of the division’s more defensive teams.
‘It’s every game, not just the ones against the top sides,’ he told The Times of India.
‘You have to fight more and more against the teams who defend against you and are hard to break down, as we did against West Brom, for instance.’
Chelsea can equal Arsenal’s record of 14 Premier League wins in a row on Wednesday night and Courtois admits his side are surpassing expectations this season.
‘The season is going very well and we are very happy with the points,’ he said.
‘Going to Tottenham is not easy and then we go to Leicester too. These are all tough games.
‘With the current run of wins, we can say we are doing better than expected after a bad season last year.
