2019 African Games: Flying Eagles play draw against Burkina Faso

Nigeria’s U20 National team, the Flying Eagles on Friday drew 1-1 against Bukina Faso in their opening Group A match at the All Africa Games in Rabat, Morocco.

Paul Aigbogun named a strong XI that included Detan Ogundare, Mike Zaruma, Rabiu Mohammed, Habibu Yakubu, Eletu Peter, Nnoshiri Samuel, Collins Sor, Ghali Ahmad, Babawo Ibrahim, Saeed Jibril and Success Makanjuola.

Nigeria drew first blood when Ahmad Ghali scored from a Abubakar Ibrahim corner kick in the 58th minute while Burkina Faso pegged the Flying Eagles back in the 72nd minute.

Nigeria had the ball over the line in the second half but with the absence of VAR the goal was ruled out.
