Nigerians took to Twitter to express divergent opinions after the Super Eagles on Sunday failed to hold on to a first half lead to draw 1-1 with Brazil in a senior international friendly in Singapore.
TheNewsGuru (TNG) reports Real Madrid star, Casemiro scored in the second half to cancel out Joe Aribo’s first half goal for Nigeria in the friendly that saw Neymar leaving the game as a result of injury 12 minutes into the game.
Alves put a good cross into the box and Marquinhos was in the middle to turn it on goal, but his header rebounded off the crossbar and Casemiro reacted quickest in the box to send it over the line and get his team level with Nigeria.
Brazil came from behind to earn a 1-1 with Nigeria. Although Brazil dominated for much of the game, it was Nigeria that took the lead in the first half when Aribo got the opener following a quick break, with the midfielder poking his shot past Ederson and into the bottom corner.
It took Brazil just three minutes after the break to get level through Casemiro’s header. The midfielder then hit the crossbar with another header later on in the game, but Brazil just couldn’t find a winning goal.
Aribo, donning the number 10 jersey for the Super Eagles opened the scoring, firing Nigeria past Brazil by one goal at half time.
Aribo’s first touch looked to have taken the ball away from him but the Brazilian defenders didn’t react quick enough.
He reached the ball before Silva and brilliantly poked it past Ederson and into the bottom left corner to put Nigeria ahead of Brazil.

Simon did well to get on the end of Osimhen’s hopeful cross into the box and then spot Aribo’s run from midfield into the box to set up the goal.
The Super Eagles looked dangerous every time they went on the counter-attack and Brazil was not able to cope with their pace at times.
As for Brazil, Tite did lose Neymar early on to injury, but his side did not lack in creativity.
The 27-year-old lasted just 12 minutes of the friendly clash with the Super Eagles and was seen icing his thigh after being replaced.
So, Brazil still haven’t got a win since their Copa America success, and they will be hoping that they can change that as soon as they can.
As for Nigeria, their focus now turns to the second leg of their African Nations Championship against Togo as they need a big win to turn around the tie after losing 4-1 last month.
However, reactions have continued to trail the game as some believed that for some technical intervention, the Super Eagles could have won over Brazil.

I wish Genort Rohr brought on Ramon Azeez earlier. As always, he behaves like he goes into games without a second plan. Iwobi had no business playing that long. Chukwueze should have been subbed. Let’s see the team attack from another path or way. #BRANGA

Gernot Rohr has given the best he can.
There’s nothing more he can offer when you observe we have a very young team with boys that want to Impress and Ball well but the coach is so scared and will hold them back.
Elderly version of Unai Emery.

Rohr, please Onuachu isn't a footballer. Send him home! #BRANGA pic.twitter.com/yCbysROs3U

THE TRUTHS;
– We still don’t have GKs
– Awaziem has cemented a spot
– Chukwueze does too much with the ball
– Can Iwobi ever improve?
– Aribo is the future
– Osimhen always gives all
– Onuachu na wetin?Rohr is still that cautious manager! #GOtvStepUp pic.twitter.com/FDaoOEaPzw

Rohr can't not manage the Talents we have….
Most players leave the Super Eagles camp Angry because of poor man management…..
You go invite players come friend match and bring them on 2mins to end of game or if injuries dey. Why you invite them?

#BRANGA Gernot Rohr has been impresive so far, no doubt about that.
I don't know what his philosophy about substitution is, but i do know he sucks when it comes to making sub.
Looks like he needs a TV to see what the rest of us are seeing in every match. pic.twitter.com/2M3yPwZPZ6— Anti_Social?? (@RealestGeezy) October 13, 2019
Rohr must wait 70 minutes before sub. We really need to check whether asking Chukwueze to track back is a waste of talent. Today Osimhen and Chukwueze were the real threats but Chukwueze spent too much time defending. We need his closer to the opposition goal

Onuachu has scored 4 goals in 4 games for his club this season, so one has to ask where the disconnect is, is Rohr using him the right way? Or he is happier playing at club than country?

Any attempt for the Super Eagles coach to field that lanky guy again is a clear sign that Rohr will take us nowhere; he should be sacked whilst the player is still on the pitch

However, some believe that Rohr is the best coach Nigeria has had since westerhoof.
I think Rohr is the best coach we've had since westerhoof. I love his underground work in bringing new talents into the team… Aribo, Awasiem and even Seyi. I love super eagles and i pray we keep Rohr till the next world cup
