Taiga condems attack on Omo-Agege

President General of Urhobo Progress Union, worldwide, Olorogun Moses Taiga, has condemned the alleged armed attack on the senator representing Delta Central Senatorial District, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, while on an empowerment programme in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State.

In a release, Olorogun Taiga urged politicians in Urhobo land, especially and Delta State, in general, to eschew violence as they go about their political activities.

“Nobody should shed the blood of any Urhobo son or daughter for any political reason.”

Taiga urged all Urhobo sons and daughters to come up with programmes to develop the Urhobo Nation and sell such programmes to the electorate rather than resorting to violence.

He thanked God for ensuring that there is no loss of life in the unfortunate attack and urged the security agencies to thoroughly investigate the incident and get to the root of the matter.
