The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor E.A. Adeboye on Sunday led the nationwide prayer walk in protest of the recent killings in some part of the country.
The leadership of the umbrella body of Christians in the country, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) had earlier called for a three day national prayer, fasting and special walk to protest the killings and abduction of some ministers of the gospel.
However, Nigerians on social media took to their Twitter Account to express their feelings in support for and against the prayer walk.
See reactions below:
Pastor Enoch Adeboye and RCCG are conducting a protest march against the killings in the land.I commend them & hope that they will find the courage to accept that they made a mistake by supporting Buhari in the first place. Will RCCG Pastor Yemi Osinbajo will join in the march?

RCCG should have partnered with Living Faith, Catholic Church, Anglican Church and other mega churches in Nigeria 🇳🇬. They should all have joined this nationwide protests against the senseless killings/massacre in Nigeria which the Federal Government has been unable to tackle.

Pastor Adeboye finally disembarking from the fence of caution, moderation and neutrality and leading a match against insecurity is commendable.Protest gives wings and wheels to Prayers.

I saw a sizable bunch of people at Lekki Phase 1 gate protesting. Then I drove into the Estate and saw another group of protesters. Apparently, it’s RCCG members. We are finally getting there. Waiting to see if DSS will clamp down on a whole church & it’s leaders. pic.twitter.com/UgNzCwmiZQ
